Hastings locals are invited to a fun night out in the Sovereign Hills community this Friday night (6 December).
The 2019 Christmas Movie Night will be the biggest yet for the Lewis Land Group which is still celebrating the recent opening of Port Macquarie’s new shopping destination – the Sovereign Place Town Centre.
The free event will be held opposite the new town centre on Chancellors Drive and feature the family movie SPIDER-MAN: Into the Spider-Verse, as well as kids’ entertainment and a pre-movie Christmas concert hosted by HitFM’s Bodge and Krysti.
Sovereign Hills singer-songwriter Emma Dykes will share music from her debut and upcoming albums and the event will feature performances from the St Joseph’s Regional College marching band and Discovery Early Education and Care Centre.
A visit from Santa will no doubt be a highlight for the young and young and heart.
“It’s been a huge year for the Sovereign Hills master planned community,” shared Lewis Land Group’s Jessica Good.
“Our Christmas movie night has traditionally been celebrated by our community in the Joey’s Meadow Parkland and has helped forge many a friendship between neighbours, however this year with the opening of the Sovereign Place Town Centre and our community heart we decided to extend the invitation to the wider Hastings community.
“We invite you to bring along your picnic blanket, join us, experience our beautiful new town centre and enjoy our community.”
Food options include a gold coin sausage sizzle supporting the Lake Innes Rural Fire Brigade and attendees can purchase snacks and ice-creams on site, or visit the town centre retailers including the Hastings Co-op IGA and Brooklyn’s Burger Bar Espresso.
Triple Two (Home, People, Life) will also stay open until 7:30pm.
All the action kicks off at 5:30pm on Friday 6 December on Chancellors Drive, opposite the new Sovereign Place Town Centre.
