Construction has officially started on Port Macquarie’s new destination for modern and innovative home design.
Hotondo Homes and Hunter Homes were first out of the blocks, laying the foundation slabs for two designs each on Acton Street – the location of the fourth Sovereign Hills Display Village – near the community’s growing town centre.
“Our team is innovative, creative and experts in their field,” explained Hotondo Homes Mid North Coast’s Dean Thompson. Prepare to be wowed by our two truly remarkable homes when we open our doors and roll out the Hotondo welcome mats in 2025.
“Our designs include the Clara 301 – A large four-bedroom home with extra living spaces, a study area and large alfresco area with a barn style theme, and a new style façade for 2025.
“We’ve also designed a new floorplan – a medium-sized home with a Mediterranean theme, curves and lots of modern styling.”
The new exhibition village will serve as a valuable resource for prospective homeowners, offering a firsthand look at the future of housing. Visitors will have a unique opportunity to explore various architectural styles and interior layouts which cater for today’s lifestyles and families.
Expect gourmet chef-style kitchens, luxurious master suites, relaxing living spaces, a seamless blend between indoor and outdoor spaces, and more.
The village will feature 14 modern homes from nine award-winning builders, including Hunter Homes.
"We’re proud to be part of the Sovereign Hills Display Village, showcasing the exceptional work of local builders,” shared Hunter Homes’ Owner Jason Smith.
“It’s exciting to see builders collaborating to create a village that truly highlights the quality, service and care we bring to our regional communities. This village is a testament to the strength of Australian-owned builders and the pride we take in delivering homes that families will love for generations."
The building activity represents a significant investment in the local community. Every home supports local tradespeople and suppliers, fostering economic growth and job creation in the region.
Participating builders include Baygrove Homes, Better Homes and Developments, Hotondo Homes, Hunter Homes, McDonald Jones Homes, MOJO, Perry Homes, Pycon and Rob Tate Family Homes.
Construction of the display village will continue over the coming months, with an official opening planned for mid-2025.
