This festive season is taking on a whole new meaning for Sovereign Hills first home buyers Josh and Katelyn Trudgett.
It’s the first-time parents’ very first Christmas with their adorable three-month-old twins Myles and Tobias.
The Trudgetts are looking forward to celebrating the milestone in their beautiful Hamptons-inspired home in The Heritage precinct where they dreamed of growing their family.
“The twins are the perfect additions to our family! We are looking forward to waking up in our own home with our boys on Christmas morning, opening presents and enjoying some yummy food together,” the Trudgetts shared.
Katelyn, a twin herself, and Josh have been living in the Sovereign Hills community for the past six years.
They rented a property in the community’s Stirling Green precinct while working hard in the hospitality industry to save for a home of their own. Katelyn is the venue manager at Brooklyn’s Burger Bar Espresso at the Sovereign Place Town Centre, while Josh is a chef at Rivermark Café.
“It was our first rental together and we liked the area because it was away from the busyness of Port but still close enough to the beaches and shops.
“We had set out to purchase land in the estate and were lucky enough to secure the block we were hoping for.”
The couple has built on their friendship connections at Sovereign Hills and love how family-friendly the community is.
“It’s so nice when out for a walk how many people with their kids say hello… We know quite a few families in the estate and have met them through work, old school friends and through the building journey. We also have some lovely neighbours which we’ve met whilst living in the area.”
The family-friendly atmosphere was on display throughout the community on 14 December for Santa’s Jolly Lolly Run.
Scores of children and their parents flocked to meet and have a photo taken with Santa in the various community parks.
Sovereign Hills wishes the Trudgetts and all families a very Merry Christmas.
