Metricon builds on plans for first Port Macquarie display home
Metricon is a step closer to showcasing its first home design in the new Sovereign Hills Display Village.
The builder has announced a construction timeline for the Santorini 25 – set to open on York Street, Port Macquarie during Autumn 2022.
Metricon will also build a second display – the Merricks 42 design – at Lake Cathie, further expanding their reach in the region.
“We’re excited to begin building our first ever display homes in this vibrant coastal enclave,” shared Metricon Homes NSW General Manager Patrick Eather.
Chosen because the Santorini 25 design is a Metricon family favourite, the builder believes it’s the perfect fit for the burgeoning mid north coast growth area.
“This home has been designed with families in mind and will offer exceptional value and space.”
The new display opening comes at a time where, according to CoreLogic’s latest quarterly update, Australia’s regional housing market is outpacing that of capital cities.
In the past 12 months non-capital city growth has been reported at 13 per cent compared with a 6.4 per cent gain in cities.
“We can certainly see the opportunity and demand in the Port Macquarie area, the desire for more affordable real estate options in the COVID-inspired work-from-home era, but also increased demand for lifestyle oriented properties and holiday homes,” Mr Eather continued.
“At Metricon, we pride ourselves on creating homes for people to love where they live. We achieve this time and time again by offering flexible floorplans and plenty of choices. With multiple design options, numerous facades, and many features to choose from, we expect the Santorini 25 will become popular with Port Macquarie residents.”
